The Roebuck Family has been invited to be a part of the amazing mission of Hope and Healing on the Global Mercy, a hospital ship providing life changing surgeries in to those who would not otherwise have access to advanced medical care. A two-year commitment, our first year the ship will be in port in Tema, Ghana starting July 2026.
Meet the global Mercy
The world's largest civilian hospital ship, The Roebucks will live full-time on the Global Mercy - being the hands and feet of Jesus to the poor and forgotten. We will be joining a volunteer crew of over 600 people who live on board, including 70 children! Here are the details:

"Heights! It will take some getting used to being outside on deck 11 about 150 feet above the water."

"Pants. Currently I exclusively wear shorts to work."
What do you hope to learn?
"I am exciting to learn from working along side some amazing & dedicated people of faith."

"Joining the ministry Mercy Ships is doing with people on and off board in Ghana."

"Being sick or the kids being sick. Seasickness or tropical sicknesses."

"Not teaching the kids school. Not meal prepping or cooking.."
What do you hope to learn?
"Everything! How to live on a boat! How to travel in Africa with my family! What’s my next career?"

"The weather is going to be really hot and humid, and I will miss my friends and family back at home."

"Attending an actual school is something I haven’t done in a long time."

"Beyond my regular education, I hope to learn to better master the Fruits of the Spirit."
